01 / THE QUESTION WORTH ASKING
You recruit agents. Develop leaders. Invest in marketing. Build infrastructure. Generate premium.
But what happens when the rules change?
A high compensation percentage means very little if the contract underneath it leaves your business exposed.
Find out what can be negotiatedA STRONGER FOUNDATION
Move beyond the percentage.
Put the relationship in writing.
Your schedule, how changes may be made, and the provisions governing your compensation.
Existing downline relationships, unauthorized restructuring, and reassignment of agents or agencies.
Agency relationships, ownership rights, and restrictions on interference with what you have built.
Defined release, termination, and dispute-resolution procedures before you need to use them.
Available protections depend on the contracting parties, carriers, applicable law, and the final negotiated agreement. No provision or outcome is guaranteed.
02 / TWO PATHS. ONE OBJECTIVE.
For established agency owners seeking a better IMO relationship, with terms that reflect the business they bring.
Where a participating IMO sponsors the engagement, that partner covers our fee after the agreed contracting milestone.
For experienced builders ready to explore their own distribution relationships through established industry aggregators.
For qualifying engagements, your agreed fee is due only after the specified carrier or aggregator contracts are established.
Subject to carrier and aggregator approval. Establishing an independent IMO does not automatically mean direct-to-carrier contracts.
03 / FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE
FOUNDER
THE IMO NEGOTIATOR
Moe Ray is an insurance industry veteran, entrepreneur, and agency builder with experience across life, health, and property & casualty insurance distribution.
His experience includes the realities of building an organization: compensation disputes, hierarchy changes, and conflicts over control of the business he helped create.
He recognized a fundamental problem: agency owners often negotiate their percentages while overlooking the contractual protections that determine how secure those relationships actually are.
“I created The IMO Negotiator so other agency owners can negotiate those protections before they need them.”MOE RAY / FOUNDER
04 / A DELIBERATE PROCESS
We don’t make promises
before we review it.
Tell us about your production, compensation, hierarchy, and the terms you’re seeking.
Review and execute a mutual NDA before sharing sensitive business records.
Provide production records, compensation grids, debt information, and relevant disclosures.
Moe or his team evaluates whether a suitable negotiating opportunity exists.
Qualified applicants may receive tailored relationships, structures, and proposed terms.
If you accept, we coordinate the next steps toward the applicable contracting process.
05 / ALIGNED INCENTIVES
For eligible placements, a participating IMO pays our fee after the agreed milestone. For qualifying independent IMO engagements, you pay after the specified contracts are established.
All compensation arrangements, payment triggers, and conditions are disclosed in writing before engagement.
The IMO Negotiator may receive compensation from participating IMO partners. This creates a financial incentive to recommend those partners.
BEFORE YOU APPLY
Established life insurance producers, agency builders, and agency owners seeking a better IMO relationship or an independent IMO structure. Every engagement is subject to qualification.
Yes. If we decide to move forward with your application, we can confidently guarantee the compensation and protections agreed upon for your engagement.
You will be prompted to share confidential documents after your Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (MNDA) is executed. Mutual means confidentiality goes both ways: both parties agree to keep our discussions and shared information confidential.
If your current agreement does not protect your compensation and hierarchy, continued growth may increase what you have at stake. The time to negotiate protections is before a dispute puts your business under pressure.
THE NEXT MOVE IS YOURS.
Most inquiries we review reveal the same problem: high-caliber agency owners either have no contractual protections or are bound by one-sided agreements that put them at a serious disadvantage.
Confidential applications. Selective qualification.
No obligation to accept a proposal.
